INFRARED LENSES

These simple lenses are made of materials which transmit in the infrared where glass fails. Germanium and Zinc Selenide are commonly used materials.

Germanium lenses are available in Pl/Cx, Positive Meniscus and Negatve Meniscus forms.

Germaninum exhibits excellent transmission from 2-12µm. It is one of the best materials available for this region of the spectrum.

Zinc Selenide are also available in Pl/Cx, Positive Meniscus and Negative Meniscus.

This material exhibits excellent transmission from 0.63-18 µm.

Note: Calcium Flouride is available on a special request basis.
